Vietnam university leaders visited the Technical University of Dresden for KTT studies.

The visit by leaders of Vietnamese universities aimes to learn about the TUD KTT model and its processes with the purpose of setting up their KTT offices in Vietnam Universities.

The leaders are Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Phong, Vice President of HUST; Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Trung Tinh, Vice Rector of CTU; and Dr. Nguyen Xuan Ba, and Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thi Hoai, Hue university visited the campus, studied the operational mechanism and practices of KTT office and innovation ecosystems in TUD.

During the intensive 2 week visits for leaders, they studied KTT systems of TUD such as research system, financing, technology transfer support systems, transfer channels, and visit incubation centers, co-working space, FABLAB and other related units of KTT. The discussion, then, will be made to find the most suitable KTT models for their own university after coming back from the visit.

The leaders gained a lot of insights on KTT systems. The TUD KTT system has been introduced and analyzed: functional operations such as license and patenting, research support, project scouting, project supporting, and graduate academy; strengths and weaknesses of the system.

The leaders and team members discussed activities of IPR and licensing both theoretically and practically. Incubation centers, FABLAB and TT offices have been visited.

Vietnamese university KTT offices have been proposed and developed during the visit of the leaders. A suitable KTT model for each Vietnam university partner is developed. The developed model will be refined to meet the requirements of each Vietnam university.

The Vietnam university leaders greatly appreciated the contributions from TUD partners for their insights, commitment and hospitality during the leaders visit.
